What are Smart Money Flows?+
A read of which way money is leaning on each candle. For gold, MRKT watches how the markets that move it are trading (the dollar, 2Y, 10Y and real yields, oil, stocks, bitcoin and fear) and scores whether, together, they are supporting the price or pressing on it. It is built from price moves in those linked markets. It does not track individual orders or fund transfers.
Which markets does it cover?+
Gold (XAUUSD), the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100 and Dow, EUR/USD and the dollar index, on the 30-minute chart. Each is read against the markets that move it: gold against the dollar and yields, the indices against breadth, tech and credit, the euro and the dollar against rates and the risk currencies.
Does it tell me when to buy or sell?+
No. It shows which way the money is leaning and what is pushing it. Your setup says where. The flows say why now. The decision stays yours.
Does it repaint?+
Each candle is scored once it closes. The newest one or two closed candles are marked provisional for a few minutes while late data from the linked markets lands; after that the reading stays as it was. The candle still forming carries the last reading, drawn fainter, until it closes.
How is it different from the COT report?+
The COT report is weekly: CFTC positions as of Tuesday, published on Friday. Smart Money Flows reads every 30-minute candle from how the linked markets are trading. Use the free COT report for the weekly positioning picture, and the flows for the session in front of you.
